“We do not remember days…we remember moments.”

In the early evening on the 20th of September, 2012, Marilyn W. Murray died surrounded by her family at the age of 75 years. She was born on September 11, 1937, to Albert and Wilhelmina Murray and grew up on the 12th Line of Moore Township. Beloved mother of Lisa Evers (David) of Sarnia and Robbie Evers of Calgary. Proud grandmother of her only grandchild Lynden Evers, and special mother-in-law of Colleen Sim of Sarnia. She is survived by her brothers and sisters Harry Murray of Corunna, twin sister Myrna Glass (Rolly) of Sarnia, Gail and Mike Mullen of St. Catharines, Robert and Maxine Murray of Goderich, and Lynn and George Steele of Sarnia. Predeceased by her parents, brother Bill (Fran), sister Joyce Brown (Dr. Daniel), sister-in-law Donna Murray and brother-in-law Harold Glass. Marilyn worked for many years at Magic Real Estate, was on the City of Sarnia Planning Board and a long-time member of Our Lady of Mercy Church. The family would like to thank the staff of Vision Nursing Home for their tenderness and compassion during Marilyn’s illness and end of life care. Also, thank you to Don Guerrette and Terry Elliott of Magic Real Estate for their generosity and understanding. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Monday, September 24, 2012, at 12:00 noon, with visitation being held one hour prior to the service (11:00 a.m.). Reception will follow at Smith Family Centre after the service. A private family interment will take place at Burns Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Sarnia, St. Joseph’s Hospice, or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family (cheques only at the funeral home please).
