Moyneur - mainobitphotoWith heavy hearts, the family of Wilfred Joseph Robert (Rob/Bob) Moyneur, announces his passing on Sunday, October 20, 2013. Always fighting the fight for the last few years and finally losing.  Rob leaves behind his wife Kathy (nee Garant) and children Rob Jr. of Edmonton, Rick (Linda) of Vancouver, Ken of Stratford, Lynn Morningstar (Bruce) of Corunna and Breanne (his special daughter). He passes the torch to his beautiful grandchildren: Terra Bell (John), Angie (Alan), Nicole (Jeremiah), Justin, Gayle (Chris), Tasha Rissling (Dan), Dale (Sarah) Morningstar and Stephanie Moyneur-Black. Rob also leaves behind his devoted cat-boys Maxx and Samm. Survived by his siblings Marguerite Waters of Kanata, Paul of Ottawa, Jack Saunders of Arkona, Jerry Moyneur of Sarnia; in-laws Ed (Judy) Garant, Mike (Cheryl) McManemy, Terry (Bridgette) McManemy, Sherry (Claude Ertewien), and Brandi (Roy) Desbien; plus several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother Marguerite, father Wilfred, brother David Moyneur, sister DeDe Saunders, in-laws Shirley and Allan McManemy, Tim McManemy and grandson Cameron Moyneur.  Rob was employed at Fiberglas Canada for 35 years, retiring when the plant closed. He enjoyed his work as a millwright. Rob was an avid Toronto Maple Leaf fan, never disappointed win, lose or tie and would argue and tease his best friend Gord Corner (late) as to who was better- Toronto or Montreal. Rob coached and played in many hockey leagues over the years. He also enjoyed 26 summers at Cedar Bay Beach, campfires and BBQ’s, often chastising our friend (Jeff Seabrook) Ted for disturbing his coals.  Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.  A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2013, at Smith Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Sympathy expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Canadian Diabetes Association, Parkinson Society or any charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated (cheques only at the funeral home please).
