Passed away peacefully on May 5, 2014 at Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus, at the age of 79, surrounded by her loving family. Reunited with her loving husband Arcangelo. Loving mother of son Robert and wife Michele, daughter Anna, son Mike and wife Susan. Nonna will be missed by her precious grandchildren Jessica, Mia, Marco and Marissa. Her beautiful smile was always brighter when they were around. They will especially remember her home cooked meals, especially her pasta, her gardening and her baking. She is survived by her sister Attilia and husband Sesto Colangeli as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Also survived by brothers-in-law, Lorenzo and Crescienzo and sisters-in-law Carmela and Giuseppina all in Italy. Predeceased by her brother Giuseppe Fabrizio, and her sisters Teresa Spera (Michele) and Rita Grande (Ferdinando and Nicola). Her heartfelt kindness and endless generosity welcomed all with open arms. Virginia was grateful to be surrounded by so many loving friends, and she will be dearly missed by all, especially the Partington Avenue Women’s rosary group. Thanks to the staff in the ICU at WRH Ouellette Campus for the care and compassion they provided over the past 8 months. If you so desire, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
