Mitchell, Robert “Bob” Thomas

(the blonde one)

It is with great sadness my Bob has passed away in peace to see the lord on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the age of 74. He was a mechanic all his life and proud of it. Then had a successful career at Mac Tools, followed by ten year franchise with Shell oil Co. And then another 10 years at Pioneer at the corner of Baseline and Woodroffe where he retired. He will be deeply missed by his loving Toni Mitchell (Sirna) his sons Scott, Blair and Brent (Anne) and by his two beautiful grandchildren. He is survived by his sister Barbara Harrison. He will also be missed by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. We give our heartfelt Thanks to the Loving and Caring staff of the Queensway-Carleton Hospital to the staff and Dr. Bustani on C-4. We will be forever grateful. For the last three years he was heartbroken as we were, but you cared for him with comforting peace and his heart was glowing happy as his journey ended. Visitation at Heritage Funeral Home, 2871 St. Joseph Blvd., Orleans, on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 from 5 – 9 PM. A Memorial mass will be celebrated at Divine Infant Parish, 6658 Bilberry Dr, Orléans, on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Notre-Dame Cemetery. A gathering at Divine Infant Parish hall will follow.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Orléans – Cumberland Community Resource Centre “Food Bank” would be appreciated.
