It is with greatly saddened hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our wonderful mother and best friend Marilyn Miller age 75, on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Bluewater Health. Marilyn will be forever missed by her daughters Brenda and her husband Ray Maola and Carrie and her husband Bryan Ball. Cherished Nanny of David and Stacey Maola, Dan and Lindsay Maola, Deena and Craig Little, Ryan and Christopher Ball and her adopted grandson Michael Dumont. Treasured Great Grandmother of Jack and Samuel Maola and future Baby Maola. Dear sister of Betty Anne Hardy, Lynda (Jim) Bond, John (Lynda) Brock, Dave Brock. Predeceased by her husbands William (Bill) Goulding (1979) and Melville (Mel) Miller (2001) and her parents Wilfred (2007) and Ruth (2012) Brock. Survived and loved by many nieces and nephews, cousins and aunt Marion Claxton and her furry grandsons Max, Sunny and Brady. Marilyn will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Marilyn was a loving and generous person who enjoyed the company of her family and friends more than anything. The simple things in life were her favourites, watching TV, playing cards with family and shopping with her daughters and granddaughter. She also worked for the Lambton County Board of Education at St. Clair Secondary School for 16 years and at Northern Collegiate for 9 years. The family would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Bluewater Health and Dr. G. Maddison for their special care of our Mom. Also a thank you to the staff and residents at Residence on the St. Clair for their kindness to our Mom during her brief but happy stay. And Mom wanted us to give special thanks to her sister Betty Anne for being her guardian angel through her illness and for being such a wonderful sister and best friend. Resting at the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTRE where services will be held on Friday April 19th at 1:00 p.m. with cremation to follow.
