MICHAUD, YvonThe family announces with sorrow his death in Sudbury on May 7th, 2014 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of Irène (née Côté) Michaud of Val Caron. Loving father of Robert (Kim Scott) of Houston, Texas, Suzanne Tessier (Gilles) of Val Caron, Denise Hyde (Shayne) of Sudbury and Louise Clark (John) of London. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Survived by 2 brothers and 3 sisters from the Quebec area. Predeceased by his parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Roly was a barber in the Sudbury area from 1953 until his retirement in 1995. He was happiest when surrounded by his family at his cottage on Talon Lake in Bonfield. For many years, he was a Dee-Jay at many weddings and functions in the Sudbury area. He also was a volunteer for the Club d’âge d’Or in Hanmer until his passing. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4570 St-Joseph St, Hanmer, on Monday, May 12th, 2014 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Ste-Marguerite d’Youville, Val Therese. As expressions of sympathy, donations (by cheque only) to the Maison Vale Hospice or to the Northern Cancer Foundation, where Yvon and family received great care during these difficult times.
