At Grey Bruce Health Centre, Owen Sound, Olive Marguerite Mehlfuhrer  (nee Williams) passed away Thurs. Nov. 21 in her 92nd year. Survived by husband Theodor of Owen Sound, son Steven of Eugenia, daughter Linda and son-in-law Mark of Hamilton, brother Henry Williams and sister-in-law Polly Clifford of St. John N.B., and cousins Jane (Wilf) MacPhee and Eloise (Cal) Murray of Nova Scotia. Predeceased by brothers Clair and Ritchie Williams. Olive was a thoughtful and loving mother and wife known in the community for her kindness. She was born in Annapolis Royal, N.S. where she worked as a telephone operator before moving to Ontario and later settling in Owen Sound. She loved doing landscape oil paintings, travelling and particularly enjoyed knitting bonnets that she donated to local hospitals for newborn babies. Burial has already taken place at Shiloh Cemetery in Chatsworth in keeping with her Baha’i faith. The family will receive friends at Fawcett Funeral Home, Flesherton on Saturday, December 7 from 2:00pm until the time of service at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to South-East Grey Support Services in Flesherton (a wonderful organization that has so thoughtfully cared for Steven for the past 16 years) would be greatly appreciated.
