Loving father of the late Beverly Barker (1973), Larry & wife Marina. Cherished grandpa of David Barker, Krista McRae (Dan) and Alissa McRae. Treasured great-grandpa of Isaac and Hayden Barker. Special uncle to Beth & Jerry Hebert. He will be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends. George was a lifetime Windsor resident who loved to winter in Arizona upon retiring from Chrysler after 42 years of dedicated service as a Tool & Die Foreman. He was a Naval Vet who served on the Cobalt as a petty officer guarding the convoys to Europe. George was an avid gardener and wood worker. Special thanks to CCAC, Hospice, VON and Care Partners for their kindness and compassion in looking after George and enabling him to remain at home, his final wish. If you so desire, donations to the Hospice of Windsor would be appreciated by the family. Visitation Sunday, January 4 from 6-9pm.
