McLEOD, Walter Burns – Peacefully on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Rosewood Manor, Sarnia.  WALTER McLEOD, born Dec.14th,1922, son of J.K & Alexandra McLeod, was formerly of Kintore, Oxford County. Loving husband of 69 years plus to Jean (Brock-Thorndale).  Loving father of Lynda of Toronto, grandfather of John and SunYoung Sauve, and the late Jimmie Sauve, great grandfather of Amber, Isabelle, Jade, and Katherine, and great great grandfather of Lylah and Sarah. Brother of Ralph & Betty of Thamesford, and Marion of Hamilton. Predeceased by brothers Ross, Alex, Gordon, Hector, and Cecil. Walter was a Life member of Royal Canadian Legion Br. 216, and Petrolia & Washington Lodge branch 260, was a Barber in Petrolia for 42 years, and was a lifelong Maple Leaf fan.  Special thanks to Dr. Mather and staff, and also to Dorthy Camanto, Ross, Ted, Ashley, and Ross Ptomley.  A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 1st, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Hillsdale Cemetery, Petrolia.  Sympathy may be expressed through donations to CEE Hospital Foundation (Pat Mailloux Eye Centre), and can be arranged by calling the NEEDHAM-JAY FUNERAL HOME, Petrolia (519) 882-0100.
