Peacefully at Rosewood Manor, Sarnia, on Thursday, October 31, 2013. JEAN AUDREY McLEOD (nee Brock-Thorndale), 90 years, formerly of Petrolia. Jean was born in Thorndale, West Nissouri in June of 1923 and was predeceased by her husband Walter (April 2013). Jean will be missed by her daughter Lynda McLeod of Sarnia, her grandson John Sauve and his wife SunYoung of Brampton, her great grandchildren, Amber, Isabel, Jade and Katherine, and her great great granddaughters Lylah and Sarah. Predeceased by her grandson Jimmie Sauve, her brothers Henry and Freda Brock, and Kenneth and Amy Brock, and her sisters Evelyn and Alf Neatby, and Wilma and Eugene Guyitt. When Walter went overseas, Jean worked in an ammunition factory until she moved to Petrolia in 1948, the same year she and Walter opened his Barber Shop. A graveside service will be held at Hillsdale Cemetery on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Harvey Osborne officiating.
