Taken too soon from his loving wife, Carol Wilk, children and step-children James McDonald (Danielle), Andrew McDonald (Christina), Maureen McDonald (Peter), Lauren Schmidlin (Michael), Caitlin Mollard (Joseph), and Talia Morrissey. Pat was the oldest of seven and will be missed by his siblings Karen Hyre, Gary (Maggie), Bill (Georgina), Richard (Joyce), Mary Waldrup (Dean), and Cathy McDonald and husband Geoff Fong. Uncle Pat will also be missed by his many loving nieces and nephews. Pat was born in Detroit, July 16, 1947 and raised in Bad Axe in “The Thumb of Michigan”. He was a man of many talents. He was a practicing attorney until his retirement from law, and was Supervisor of Redford Township for two terms in the seventies. He was also a chef extraordinaire, accomplished gardener, golfer, softball player, bowler and table tennis player. Most of all, Pat was the best father, husband, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, son-in-law, cousin and friend. Pat was always generous with his time, his wisdom, and his infectious sense of humour. His laugh will always be remembered. Visitation and celebration of Pat’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 10:30 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 834 Raymo Road, Windsor, N8T 4A6, until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Windsor & Essex County. Interment will be in the McDonald family plot in St. Joseph Cemetery, Rapson, Michigan. Arrangements entrusted to FAMILIES FIRST 1065 Lauzon Rd. East Windsor (519-969-5841).
