McARDLE, Laurence (Wing Commander) of Cobourg, Ontario
With deepest sorrow we announce the passing of Laurence McArdle, peacefully in his 93rd year, at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg Ontario, on November 5, 2013. Born in Dumfries, Scotland, August 14, 1921. Beloved husband of Joan for 68 years, loving father to his son Ian (Pam Royl), devoted grandfather to his treasured grandchildren Lauren (Morgan Bailey) and Lizzie. Family and friends will dearly miss his passionate retelling of his stories. Laurence will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his life long fascination with everything to do with flight and airplanes, his dry Scottish wit, as well his fondness for good scotch and all the finer things in life. Please join us for a celebration of his life Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home Reception Centre, Cobourg.
