Passed away peacefully, on November 15, 2014 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of 66 years to Marguerite “Marg” (nee Hayward). Loving father of Greg and wife Blanche, Gary and wife Florence, Heather and husband Gordon Warren, Timothy of Colorado, and Thomas and wife Paula. Cherished Papa of Cynthia Sefton (the late Scott), Sandra Mehenka (Michael), James (Melissa), the late Timothy Warren, Aaron Warren, Daniel Warren, Jessica Monahan (John) of B.C., and Isabel of Colorado. Dear great-grandfather of Mitchael, Hayley, Madison, Tyler, Finn, Alexa, Lexi, Liam, and Lily. Loving brother of John and his late wife Pearl, Robert and his late wife Vi, the late Joy and Mitchell Osadchuk, and Joan and her late husband Arthur Renaud. He will be sadly missed by his sisters-in-law Beverly Evon and Marilyn Scherbank and brothers-in-law Robert Edwards and Cliff and Edward Hayward and by many nieces and nephews. Ray was a very talented architect who received many awards for his outstanding contributions to architecture. Many churches, institutions, stately homes and beautiful landscapes were Ray’s forte. Ray was a lifelong member of Ontario Association of Architects and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. He was known for being a gentleman in both life and work. The family would like to thank his family doctor, Dr. Sharon Doyle, whom Ray admired for her years of dedication. Although his stay was short at Extendicare Southwood Lakes, the family would like to thank the staff for their excellent care and kindness shown to Ray. If you so desire, donations to the Salvation Army or to St. James’ Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family.
