web_martini_filipoPeacefully on June 20, 2013 at the age of 86 years, with his loving family by his side.  Born in Ceprano Frosinone Italy on October 23, 1926.  Beloved husband of Maria Luisa for 57 years.  Dearest father of Giovanna Orlando and husband John (Vancouver), Pietro and wife Ivana.  Cherished nonno of Richard James, Christina Nicole, Andrew Philip and fiancée Tiffany Kaitlin and Stephanie Carmela.  Dear brother of Pasquale and wife Maria, and brother-in-law of Vincent Recchia and Linda Vozza (Michigan), Lidia Martini and Lucia Martini, both of Italy.  Predeceased by his parents Pietro and Giovanina Martini, his mother and father-in-law Camillo and Guiseppina Recchia, and his brothers:  Gino, Angelino, Loreto and Arduino Martini, his brother-in-law Antonio Vozza, his sister-in-laws Olga Recchia, Angelina Martini and Rosetta Martini.  Filippo will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, in Canada, U.S.A. and Italy.  Filippo retired from The City of Windsor Public Works Department after 28 years of service.  He was a proud member of The Ciociaro Club of Windsor for 41 years.  He loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time around his home and tending to his garden.  Special thanks to the C.C.A.C., Filippo’s personal care workers and the volunteers and staff of Hospice for their wonderful support and compassionate care.  If you so desire, donations to Hospice Residential would be appreciated by the family.  Visitation Sunday 6:00-9:00 p.m. and Monday 2:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m.  Parish prayers Monday at 4:30 p.m. Leaving Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. from Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841 to St. Angela Merici Church, 980 Louis Avenue for Mass at 11:00 a.m.  Entombment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.  Share memories, photos or make a donation at www.FamiliesFirst.ca
