MamaMalik, Theresa (Nagy) passed away on Monday, August 4th, 2014, at her late residence, Extendicare, Port Stanley at the age of 91. She was born on April  8th, 1923, in Hungary and immigrated to Canada (Leamington) (Aug. 6, 1929) at the age of 6. Theresa is sadly missed but never forgotten by her 3 surviving children, Elmer (Kathy) Malik, Jim (Becky) Malik and Lynda (Bill) McCormick and her 7 grandchildren, Scott Malik, Tracey (Tom) Cooper, Rebecca (Steve) Gagne, Craig (Julie) Malik, Melanee (Gavin) Jones, William McCormick and Heather McCormick and 5 surviving great grandchildren, Emileigh Gagne, Ethan and Autumn Malik and Gabby and Sophie Jones. Also survived  by  a number of in-laws and by many other family members. She was predeceased by her children Richard Malik at age 6 months and Joseph Malik at birth, her husband Elmer Malik and her great grand daughter Shelby Gagne, both in 2006. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, being predeceased by her parents Gabriel and Elizabeth Nagy, her sister Betty Vagi and her brother Bob Nagy. She was an amazing mother and Grandma, who always put her family first and her greatest joys were those times when we all came together to celebrate at her place. She was the best cook and loved to garden both vegetables and flowers, bird watch, fish, play bingo and yahtzee, crochet and watch hockey, football and her Blue Jays. Overall an amazing lady with a feisty spirit and a great sense of humour who will be truly missed by those who knew her, but will always bring a smile to our faces when we reminisce on her life and her love for all of us. May she be forever happy and at peace now.
