Mackey:  Teresa Catherine – With her daughter by her side, Teresa Catherine Mackey passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 18th 2012. Teresa is lovingly remembered by her son, James Mackey, her daughter Kathy Spaeth and husband John and cherished grandson Christopher. Beloved wife of the late Tom Mackey (1994) and  predeceased by her brother, Joseph Torpey, sisters Mary O’Connor, Rita Butler, and Irene Smith.

Teresa was born on May 19th, 1920, in Otonabee Township.  She worked at the Quaker Oats Company in Peterborough.  After they married, she and Tom moved to Vancouver where Tom served in the Air Force.  A few years later they moved to Scarborough where she became an office manager and book keeper. Teresa and Tom enjoyed their retirement, travelling to Europe and throughout the United States.  However their favorite place to visit was wherever their grandson Christopher was.

The family would like to thank the staff of Lakeview Manor in Beaverton for creating a kind and caring environment that allowed Teresa to live her last few years with respect and dignity.
