Loving father of Karen Cruickshank (Robert), Robbie, Eddie (Arlene), Randy (Lise), and Kimberly Gorman (David). Kind and caring Grandpa to his special grandchildren whom he adored; Derek (Allison), Robbie (Brittany), Shannon, Blake, Brandon, Keefer, Karee, Mariah, Carter, Dylan, Ethan, and Jensen. Great Grandpa to five wonderful great grandchildren. Dear son to the late Harry and Vera (Beers) Lynds. Cherished brother to Randy (Dorothy), St. Catherines, Harry (Dorothy) (Predeceased), Garson, Charlie (Vera), St. Catherines, Ronnie (Jeanette), Welland, Onie MacWilliams, Moncton, Mona (Herman) Berry, Moncton, Karen (Stan) (predeceased) Miscampbell, Ottawa, Elner (Lyman) (predeceased) Allen, Ajax, Robert (predeceased), Miles, Victoria, and Roger (predeceased). Boyd was born on October 16, 1937 in Kent County, New Brunswick and grew up with a strong dedication to work and family. He moved to Ontario at the age of 14 and lived with his oldest brother Randy and his wife Dorothy. At the age of 18 he moved to Sudbury to live with his brother Harry and his wife DeeDee and found work. He met and married the love of his life on August 9th, 1958 and raised a family in Garson, Ontario. He was an exceptional role model; he was patient, kind and generous with his love and was always willing to share his knowledge. He enjoyed sports, music, nature, cards, tinkering with his truck, puttering in the yard, just being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. Boyd will be remembered for his most hardy laugh. He had a quick wit and he truly loved to make people laugh with his never ending sense of humour. You could always count on “Boydie” to give you the best hugs that could just brighten your day. Even though there will be many tears being shed here on earth, note that there will be much laughter in heaven. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the St. Joseph Foundation (Continuing Care Centre) Sudbury, Ontario.
