LORTIE, HarryThe family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the age of 79 years. Beloved husband of Yollande Lortie (née Marcotte) of Sudbury. Son of the late Arthur and of the late Julia (née Boulrice) Lortie. Cherished father of Cheryl Ingram (Brian) of Owen Sound, Randy Lortie (Anne) of Elliot Lake, Martin Lortie (Brenda) of Kingston. Cherished step-father of Anna Lacoursière (Randy) of Sudbury and predeceased by his step-son Alain Lacoursière (late Kerrie Leblanc). He is survived by 2 brothers and 5 sisters and predeceased by 3 brothers. Sadly missed by many grandchildren, great- grandchildren and step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mr. Lortie was a retired Geologist with Falconbridge Ltd. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved prospecting in his spare time. He also enjoyed spending his winters in Florida with his wife. Harry was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 564, Lockerby and a member of the War Pensioners, Fred Vincent Branch, Sudbury. In keeping with Harry’s wishes there will be no visitation. Interment in Spanish will take place in the Summer of 2015. In lieu of flowers, donations (by cheque only) to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Cooperative Funeral Home, Sudbury.
