LONGwebMurray Long, of RR#1 Elmwood, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at LHSC- University Campus, London on Thursday, March 14, 2013.  He was 63.

Born in Listowel, Ontario, son of the late Frederick “Fred” and Margaret (nee Johns) Long. Murray was an Electrical Technician at Energizer as well as a former member of the Elmwood Lions Club. As a Ham Radio enthusiast VE3IXR is now a silent key. Fishing trips and the many relaxing weekends at the Point Clark Cottage will long be remembered.

Survived by loving wife Elizabeth (nee Barton) Long of RR#1 Elmwood, cherished daughter Shelley Long of Kitchener, brothers Bill (Ruth) Long, David (Frances) Long, Don (Wanda) Long, all of Atwood, sisters Marion (Lloyd) Knoblauch of Listowel, Joyce (Jim) Spence of Goderich, Susan (Bob) Martin of Listowel and Carol (Kevin) Gurr of Birr.  He will be fondly remembered by his in laws Jim and Dorothy Barton, sister in law Lois Robertson all of Atwood, God children Kelly Robertson (Kevin Jackson) and their family Brody and Sophie of Gowanstown, Tim Robertson of Calgary and Stephanie Gurr of London. Loved by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother in laws Murray McCourt and Bob Robertson and nephew Ken Knoblauch.

Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 18, 2013 at 11:00 am.
