Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Nairn) Garrett and the late Alice (Ferguson) Eedy (2002).  Loving father of Linda and Al Kaiser of Lambeth, and Laurie and Mark Vanderploeg of Denfield. Dear grandfather of Katie and Will, Jenny, Emily, and Heather; and Catherine, and Carolyn; Lovingly remembered by Liz’s family: Bill and Joyce Garrett (Erica and Ethan), and Diane and Kevin Hartwick (Leanne and Stevie, and Derek). Dear brother and brother-in-law of Charles and Doreen Eedy, Jim Ferguson and Ruth Ferguson, Joyce and Elmer Walters, Marilyn Nairn, Jack and Gail Nairn, Barbara and Doug Jeffery, and Susan Curran.  Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and many friends. Peacefully at his home on Sunday, January 22, 2017 Frederick Leroy “Roy” Herrington of Strathroy passed away at the age of 76.  Loving husband of Barbara for 53 years, and beloved father of Robin (Brad) Mead and Billie Herrington.  Dear grandfather of Jeremy (Debbie) Mead, Charles (Rachel) Mead and Bret Mead, and great-grandfather of Hilton Mead.  Dear brother of Bernice Collins, Marie Chisan, Donna Mader, Sharon Wilson and Linda Herrington. 79 years, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Erie Shores Hospice. Beloved husband of Elfriede Schwengsbier (nee Bormann) for 60 years. Loving father of Monica Weil (Henry), Linda Johnson (John Ludwiczak) and the late Otto (2013) (Laurie). Cherished Opa of Timothy Weil (Lori), Matthew Weil (Lindsay), Aaron Johnson, Mallory and Cameron Schwengsbier and the late Andrew Schwengsbier (2007); and Special Opa of Emma, Jackson, Myla, Jaelyn and Leah. Dear brother of the late Paula Bohlen (the late Alfred), Martha Dorner (Peter), Olga Fischer (the late Joe), the late Annie Renner (Adolf), Erika Sonntag (the late Wolfgang), Margaret Schuller (the late Alfred), and Christel Cardoso (and the late Daniel); and brother-in-law of the late Gerhardt Bormann (Gerda), Maria Trittler (the late Engelbert), Erich Bormann (Maria), Bruno Bormann (Sharon) and Hilda DeWaal (Abraham). Otto is survived by many nieces and nephews and his grand dog Scooby. Otto cherished his visits from the neighbourhood children and would always have treats waiting for them. He had a soft spot for animals and birds, and made sure they always had something to eat. His generosity will be missed by many. Passed away peacefully on January 12th with her daughter at her side. Dorothy was in her 92nd year, and enjoyed a long and blessed life. Her kind and gentle personality made an impression on everyone she met. Beloved Mother and Grandmother of Shelley, Tracy, Beth and York. Loving wife of Herb, and dear friend to Ron and Jean Burns, Pat Tonge and Nancy Engelhardt. Dorothy will be missed deeply, but we all take comfort in the believe that she is now happily back beside her beloved Herb, eating all the ice cream she could ever wish for! In her family she was known as Ellen. By her many friends and colleagues everyone called her Ellie. But whether you are family or friend Ellie was loved and respected by all. And so it is with great sadness the family announces Ellen’s peaceful death in the comfort of her home, “the cottage”, on January 21st, 2017. Ellie was the proud and devoted mother of Tim (Beth), Jason (Jenn), and Marsha (Eric) Harris and a much loved Grandma to Kyle, Emily, and Gavin. Ellen will be greatly missed by her twin sister Elaine Walker and her husband Luke and by her nieces Brooke Weaver, April Monteiro, and Beverly and Nancy Walker. Ellen was predeceased by her parents David and Agnes Jackson and her sister Barbara Whitfield. Ellie was a hardworking and dedicated real estate agent in the Forest area for over 30 years. The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to Dr. Ken Walker and his office staff for their attentive and compassionate care, CCAC and the wonderful VON home care teams and most of all to Ellie’s fantastic friends and the Forest community for their tremendous outpouring of support and kindness throughout Ellie’s brief illness. Peacefully on January 19, 2017 in his 89th year. Loving husband of Jane for 63 years. Dear father of Dave of Amherstburg, Rob and wife Colleen of Oakville, Donna and husband Glenn Russette of LaSalle, and Paul of Windsor. Beloved son of the late Earl and Anna Sinasac. Dearest Pip of Adam, Sarah, Kevin, and Andrea. Treasured Great Pip of Declan, Isla, Moira and Mackenzie. Predeceased by his siblings Clarence and wife Veronica, Leo and wife Eileen, Murray, Raymond, Kenneth, and Evelyn (Lawrence). Brother-in-law of the late Virginia Atherton (2009), the late Joe and wife Eleanor Dufour, Jim Dufour, Gord Dufour and his late wife Pat, the late Ron and wife Nina Dufour. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Len retired from Chrysler Canada after 33 years of service. He was a longtime member of St. Gabriel’s Church and St. John de Brebeuf.  Len was also a charter member of the Knights of Columbus # 4386. If you so desire, donations to Windsor and Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated by the family. FERNANDES: Daniel of Strathroy

Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital with his family by his side on Thursday, January 19, 2017 Daniel Fernandes of Strathroy passed away at the age of 87.  Loving husband of Geraldina for over 61 years.  Beloved father of Jenny (Tony) Ferreira.  Loving Avo of Melissa Ferreira (Mike Kennedy), Andrea (Nick) Davies.  Bis Avo of Aubree, Cassius, Chloe, Sydney, Everett and Raina.  Predeceased by Piercen and Hunter.  Dear brother of Conceicao (Cristiano) Da Ponte, Merces (Manuel) Cordeiro, Herminio (Lourdes) Fernandes, Manuel Fernandes, Cesar (Lydia) Fernandes.  Daniel loved gardening wine making and family gatherings.  A special thank you to the staff at Sprucedale for all your care and kindness shown.  Friends will be received at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY 519-245-1023 on Sunday, January 22nd from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.  Vigil Prayers will be prayed at 6:30 pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 23rd from All Saints Catholic Church at 11:00 am with Fr. Kathleen “Kay” Mary Marks, of Dresden, passed away on Friday, January 20th, 2017 at the age of 93 years. Daughter of the late Allan and Mable Henderson (nee Henness). Born in Chatham in 1923. Beloved wife of the late Archie McCarthy (1964) and Jack Marks (2004). Loving mother of Murray (Wilma) McCarthy, Sheila (Dallas) Suitor, and Sandra (Joe) De Roeven. Stepmother of the late Claudette (John) Ferguson. Kay dearly loved and exuded pride for her 12 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her granddaughter Julie, great grandsons Andrew and Jacob, her sisters Evelyn and Dorothy, and brothers Leslie and Ronald. A private family interment will be held in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Those wishing to show an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Rondeau Bay Waterfowler’s Association, in support of a wheelchair accessible duck blind in memory of Jacob Suitor, or the Praise Fellowship Church Soup Kitchen. CRUDGE: Janice Rose (Atchison) of London

Suddenly at her home in London on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 in her 66th year. Beloved wife of Gary Crudge for 43 yrs. Dear mother of Andrew and Abby Crudge of London. Wonderful gramma to Max and Luke. Dear sister and sister-in-law Marlene and Barry Dale of London, Harvey and Joyce Atchison of Clinton, Doris and Bob Moore, Roxie and Ron Hood, Sharon Gallant, Brenda and John Tidey, Kevin Atchison and Rodney Atchison all of Stratford. Janice will be sadly missed by all of her extended family. Predeceased by her parents Norma and Andy Acthison, her sister Debra and nephew Neal.

Visitation will be held at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 9:30-10:30 AM where the funeral service will be held at 11 AM. Interment St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye.
