Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on April 19, 2017 at 80 years of age. Cherished husband of Vivienne for 61 years. Beloved father of Jo-Anne (Neil) Bridgen, Jerry (Deb) Cramer and Mike Cramer. Loving Grandad of Brandon, Ryan (Jessica), Bill (Pam), Paul (Vanessa), Lauren (Dylan) and great Grandad of Colton, Bruce and Luna. Dear brother of Janet (the late Joe) Ward, the late Harry Cramer, Donna (Robert) Wall, the late Norma Rose, Judy (the late Dave) Walker and brother-in-law of the late Fred (Alice) Ronsick. Bill will be missed by his extended family and dear friends. Dad loved camping with his family and was a proud lifetime member of South Windsor Optimist Club, a blood donor, and a Train enthusiast.

GREENSIDE, Joan (née Brooks), of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, April 27, 2017, in her 86th year.  Wife of Edward F. “Ted” Greenside.  Mother of William “Bill” Vaughan (Rosemary) of London, and Judy Angyal of Grand Bend.  Grandmother of Angela, Pamela, Craig and Melissa.  Sister of David Brooks (Diann) of Oakville.  Also survived by 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Joan was predeceased by her sister, Betty Paul and by her brothers, Bob and Clare Brooks.  Born in London, ON, April 22, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Ona (née Pyman) Brooks.  Joan was a retired clerk at Stedman’s Department Store, Aylmer. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.  There will be no public visitation or funeral service. CAMPBELL, L. Wayne, of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, in his 74th year.  Beloved husband of Sharon (née Merritt) Campbell.  Dearly loved father of Tracey Zwiers (Jeff) of Orillia, and Scott Campbell (Christine) of St. Thomas.  Cherished grandfather of Sarah Doherty-Campbell, Emily and Joshua Campbell, and Jayme and Thomas Zwiers.  Also survived by brother-in-law, Roy Merritt (Faye) of Edmonton, AB.  Born in St. Thomas, ON, April 7, 1944, he was the son of the late Duncan O. and Ethel (née Cummings) Campbell.  Wayne was an employee for 40 years at the Ford Motor Company of Canada’s St. Thomas Assembly Plant, where he worked in the Paint Dept., Quality Control, and the Executive Garage.  He was an active volunteer for over 45 years with the St. Thomas Skating Club, where he was the current President.  Wayne volunteered for over 25 years with the H.O.M.E. Region Skating Council, where he was a Past President.  He enjoyed sharpening the skates of local figure skaters and hockey players, which he did from his home.  Relatives and friends will be received by the family on Sunday, April 30th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) where the funeral service will be held on Monday, May 1st at 1:00 p.m.  Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park.  If so desired, memorial donations to The Lung Association or the STEGH Foundation will be appreciated.

Dear mother of James Clark and his wife Marilyn, Dean Clark, Cheryl Foster and her husband Ron Tipping, Ron Clark and his wife Lynn, Brian Clark, Carol Marsh and her husband Paul, Dan Clark and his wife Donna all of London and Christena McElroy and her husband Rick of Milton. Cherished Nana to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by her brother and sisters and their families. Too dearly loved ever to be forgotten

Brubacher, Charles (Chuck) Leverne passed away peacefully at Mississauga Hospital (part of Trillium Health Partners) on Monday, April 24th, 2017.

Lovingly remembered by Roberta Alene Brubacher (Longfield), his wife of 54 years. Treasured father of Blair Brubacher (Karen Ashforth), and Lisa Brubacher (Jeff Cairns). Proud grandfather of Bennett, Cameron, Jacob and Madeline. Caring uncle to David Hunter (Rosalind Güldner). He was predeceased by his beloved sister Candace Harvey (Brubacher).

Chuck was born in Kitchener, Ontario, March 5th, 1937. He was the son of the late Harry Brubacher and Isabel Brubacher (Wright).

Chuck spent his formative years in St. Thomas, working in his parents’ hardware store and attending St. Thomas Elgin Collegiate Institute. During this time, Chuck developed a love for wilderness canoe tripping. His post-secondary studies took him to Western University. By the time he graduated, he had two new passions, Roberta and improving emergency medical care and transportation. As his family grew, so did his passions, first for his children, then his grandchildren. In his retirement, driver training and safety became another passion. Throughout his life, Chuck’s focus on serving others, has touched many lives.

Thanks to the medical staff of Trillium for their dedication and compassionate care of Chuck.

A celebration of Chuck’s life will take place this Saturday, April 29th at 1:00 pm at St. James United Church, 400 Burnhamthorpe Road, Etobicoke. The visitation is at 1:00 pm, followed at 2:00 pm by the service and reception.

Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Monday, April 24th, 2017; Susan Lynn Patterson (nee Auld) passed away at the age of 69. Beloved wife to the love of her life Doug for 47 years. Mother of Steven Patterson and Christin (Ryan) Barber. Cherished grandmother of Dylan, Matthew and Brooklyn Patterson and Sky and Reid Barber. Survived by her brother Bob (Joyce) Auld and sister Norma (Don) Dolbear.

Susan, after graduating from Nursing school in 1969 worked at Sydenham District Hospital, Wallaceburg until she moved to Strathroy Hospital in 1971 where she worked as a nurse for 48 years.

The family of Susan would like to thank the 2 South nurses for their exceptional care and all her friends for their help at this difficult time.

Our Wonder Woman, passed away peacefully with family by her side on April 20, 2017 at 42 years of age.  Loving mother of Tyler Pillon and Alexandra Pillon-Eadie. On April 21, 2017 Russ took his last breath, peacefully, with his family by his side. Reunited with his beloved wife Yvonne (2014). Loving Father of Carrie (Rob) Brouyette, Brenda (Leonard) Benedet and Keith (Debbie Favaro-Harnish) Dupuis. Pipi of Derek, Jordan, and Darcy Benedet, Dr. Nicole O’Neill, Brianne and Bryce Dupuis.  Great Pipi of Krystian, Natalia, Liliana, Madison, Hazel, Noah and Kinsley. Predeceased by parents Gaspard and Florence Dupuis. A proud retired Firefighter, with the Windsor Fire Department for 35 years.  He will be missed by all his golf league friends, at Dominion, Roseland, as well as Pine Lakes in Jensen Beach Florida. A 40 year Snowbird resident of Nettles Island, in Jensen Beach Florida. He was a volunteer with the Fishing Club, Men’s Club, Jensen Beach Legion, Nettle’s Island Volunteer Firefighters.  Member of Royal Canadian Legion Br 594, Windsor Sportsman Club.  Proud of his ancestry, member of Wyandot of Anderdon Nation Splitlog Tribe. Passed away at home on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the age of 72, surrounded by loved ones. Beloved husband of Linda M. Laframboise (nee Meloche) for 54 years. Predeceased by son Richard (1969) and parents Delia (2002) and Ovila (1961) Laframboise. Dear father of Randall and Linda Laframboise of LaSalle; Leslie and Anita Laframboise of LaSalle, and Jason and Denise Mayville of LaSalle. Dear Pépé of Michael, Amylynn (Kaley), Nina, Jayden, Kyle and Shain, and their companions. Beloved brother of Linus (2015) and wife Rose Laframboise of LaSalle, Donald Laframboise (2010) and wife Valerie Dusa of Anderdon, Edward (2014) and wife Diana Laframboise of LaSalle, and Noreen (2016) and husband Jim Ostrander of Harrow. Served for many years as coach and on the Executive of Sandwich West Minor Hockey. Was one of the charter members of Sacred Heart LaSalle – Council 9500 Knights of Columbus and served on the Executive as Trustee, Financial Secretary and presently as Grand Knight. Was a member of St. Vincent DePaul – LaSalle Conference and served on the Executive as Treasurer and presently as President. Douglas Holden Stuart passed away on Monday April 24th, 2017 with family by his side in his 102nd year. Beloved husband for 55 years of the late Maxine Helen Stuart (nee Whaley – July 21st, 1995). Dear father of Kenneth and Peggy Stuart, Janet Stuart, and Diana and Art McOmber. Cherished grandfather of Darrell Wilder, Dwayne and Mitzie Wilder, Shane and Louise Stuart, Art and Barb McOmber, Michael and Breanna McOmber, Tammy and Mark Ballard, Devon and Levi McPherson, Leigh-Ann and Jeremy Burke, and Mike Murrell. Douglas will be fondly remembered by his 22 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, Robert and Elizabeth Stuart (nee Holden), and his grandson Oak Stuart. Special thanks to Kim Toulouse, who spent the past 10 years caring for her grandfather at Meadow Park Nursing Home, as well as to the front-line staff and management. Douglas retired from Ontario Steel in 1974. He had a summer home on the Saugeen River where he loved to fish. Douglas served in the Second World War and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 71 years. With his loving family around him, on Monday, April 24, 2017, at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital.  Beloved husband of 64 years of Jeanne (Tiete Van Brug).  Loving father of Harry Feenstra (Karen), Joanne Feenstra (Steve), and Simon Feenstra (Sharon).  Grandfather of Amanda (Chris), Jennifer (Wade), Janine (Chris), Johnny (Samantha), Jonathan, Sacha (Jerritt), and Shawn (Sarah), and 10 loving great-grandchildren.  Also missed by his loving sister Jelly and his extended family in Holland.  Also missed by his nephews Harry John (Ottawa) and Sybo Boersma (Lambeth).  Visitation will take place at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY, 32 Metcalfe Street West, Strathroy, on Wednesday evening, April 26, 2017, from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm.  A Funeral Service will take place in the chapel on Thursday afternoon, April 27, 2017, at 2:00 pm.  Interment to follow at Strathroy Cemetery.  For those who wish, in memoriam donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated by the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.denning.ca

DEAN, Mrs. Rhoda (née Buschert), of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, April 23, 2017, in her 86th year.  Wife of the late Robert C. Dean.  Step-mother of Mark, Karl, and Brenda Dean, and Elaine Super.  Sister of Glen Buschert (Alice), Elaine Gage (Don), Cecil Buschert (Joyce), Florence Fraser (Stewart), Sharon Buschert, Merle Buschert (Linda), and Lowell Buschert (Theresa).  Sister-in-law of Bill Dean (Pat), Don Dean (late Lorna), and the late Jack Dean (late Diane).  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Born in Carstairs, Alberta, February 11, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Ruth (née Dettwiler) Buschert.  A Registered Nurse, Rhoda formerly worked at the Kitchener General Hospital (C.C.U.) and also as an in-home nurse.  She was a member of Eastwood Fellowship Baptist Church, St. Thomas.  Relatives and friends will be received by the family at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Wednesday afternoon, April 26th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.  The funeral and committal service will be held at Eastwood Fellowship Baptist Church, 400 Wellington St., St. Thomas, on Thursday, April 27th, 2017 at 1:30 p.m.  Interment will be made privately in Woodland Cemetery, London.  Memorial donations to Eastwood Fellowship Baptist Church or the charity of one’s choice will be gratefully acknowledged.

Peacefully passed with family by his side at L.H.S.C-University Campus on Saturday, April 22nd, 2017; Steven Norman Watson of London at the age of 59. Dearly beloved son of Dale Clancy (Dave). Loving father of Jordan Prior. Pre-deceased by his brother, Bob (1999). Cherished brother to his sister Debra Bray (Keith) and sister-in-law Cyndy Watson (Eddie). Peacefully with family by her side, at L.H.S.C-University Campus on April 22nd, 2017; Frances Ellen Utting (nee Rehberg) of Strathroy passed away at the age of 72. She is survived by her children Connie (Bill) and Barry (Shelly). Cherished grandmother of Malcolm, Joceline, Savannah and Thomas. Survived by her siblings Tom (Ruth) and Marjorie (Ron); nieces and nephews Katie, Jason (Melanie), Rick, Brian (Shelly), Marjorie and John. Frances will also be missed by her furry kids Chumlee and Silly.

Cremation has taken place. Courageously at St. Joseph’s Hospice, London on Sunday, April 23, 2017 Edgar Johannes passed away in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Mary. Dear father of Nancy Thibert and her husband Bob. Cherished grandpa of Jennifer MacDonald, Michelle (Shaun) Bonnallie and Jamie (Katrina) Thibert. Proud great-grandpa of Sydney and Tanner MacDonald, Brady and Peyton Bonnallie and Adrianna Thibert. Brother of Norma (Harold) Sharpe and brother-in-law of Marg Gay. Predeceased by his daughter Gail, his parents Edward and Hazel Johannes and siblings June Fisher and Ted Johannes. Ed was an employee of Victoria Hospital, London for over 40 years and a long-standing member of Wortley Baptist Church. A special thank you is extended to the CCAC, the Dialysis Unit at Victoria Hospital, Dr. Scott McKay, Dr. Adam Power, Dr. Amit Garg and St. Joseph’s Hospice for their care and compassion. Friends will be received by the family on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 7-9 pm at the A.
