HALES, Irene (née McCallum), of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, in her 97th year.  Beloved wife of the late Earl Hales (1997).  Dearly loved mother of Anne Vair of Kitchener, and Lynn Plaquet (Randy) of Aylmer.  Cherished grandmother of Toria Vair of Toronto, and Gregg Vair of Kitchener.  She was the sister of the late Jean Fraser.  Irene is also fondly remembered by Jim Vair of London, as well as several nieces, nephews, and their families.  Born in Dutton, ON, August 28, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Annie (née McKillop) McCallum. Irene was a long-time member of Knox Presbyterian Church, St. Thomas.  The funeral service will be held at the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Saturday, October 21st at 1:30 p.m.  Relatives and friends will be received by the family one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be made in Elmdale Memorial Park.  Memorial donations to Knox Presbyterian Church, the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of one’s choice will be gratefully acknowledged.

Passed away peacefully on October 8, 2017 at 77 years of age. Beloved husband of Bonnie for 24 years. Loving father of Terry Moore (Sandy), Karen Jamieson (Scot), Jason Desjardens (Celine).  Step father of Heather Muise (Matt Egan).  Cherished Grandfather of Kimberly Moore, Amanda Jamieson and Shane Jamieson.  Great grandfather of Savana, Damien, Jordan and Addison.  Dear brother of the late Harry  the late Helen, the late Betty,  Niles, Audrey, and Darlene.  Will be missed by nieces and nephews.   Larry retired from Ministry of Health Ambulance Service, after being involved in many different capacities over his 40 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed his retirement years spending time at his trailer in Bancroft with family and friends. Passed away suddenly on October 9, 2017 at 87 years of age.  Cherished husband of Shirley (nee Plant) for 64 years.  Devoted father of Tim (Pauline), the late Chris (Kathy), Sherry Panella (the late Renato), Billy (Michelle) and Lisa Gallant (Mike).  Loving grandpa of Jason, Jeff, Kristen, Amy, Jen, Chris, Tiffany, Mallory, Morgan, Josh, Jacob, Mikayla and 15 great grandchildren. Departed on the 61st anniversary of her arrival to Canada from France, peacefully on October 11, 2017. Reunited with her beloved husband Pierre (1979). Loving mother of Lucien, Sylvie (Dan Zompanti.) and Gérard (Kimberly). Treasured Mémé of Daniel, Christophe, Robert, Michel and Lauren. Precious daughter of the late Angelo and Lucia Antonia Rupolo. Dear sister of the late Luisa (late Armando Lenisa), late Giovanni Battista Rupolo, late Fernanda (late Jimmy Battistuz) and the late Giovanni Rupolo (Silvana). Dearest Zia of Mirto Lenisa (Anna), Sr. Lucy Battistuz, Angelo Battistuz (Barbara), Victor Battistuz (Janet) and most loved cousin of the late Annie Gava, Maria-Teresa and Charlie Mazowiecki, Claudia Monte and Elena Bet. She will be sadly missed by numerous other in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews throughout the USA, France and Italy. Special long-time friend to Rita and Denise Forton and Gail Harper. Assunta was a poet, writer, conservationist, world traveller and a free spirit. She won numerous gardening awards with The Windsor Beautification Program. She and her “Rosary Girls” made rosaries for over 40 years, which were donated to third-world countries. They also taught the communion classes to make rosaries throughout Essex County. Special thank you to Ann, Tiffany, Johanna Dyck and all the friends at the Leamington Mennonite Home. Dear brother to Donna (Allan Leach) and Murray (the late Rita).  Ken was a proud member of Park House Museum Tinsmiths and recipient of Canada 150 award for volunteerism.   As per Ken’s wishes, he has donated his body to the University of Western Ontario to contribute to the advancement of medical science.  The family will have a private celebration of Ken’s life. In loving memory of Mat who passed away suddenly on October 5, 2017 at the age of 30. Cherished son and best friend of Bruce Larkin and the late Linda Larkin (2017). Dear brother of Chris Larkin. With heavy hearts we regret to announce the sudden passing of a truly amazing man on October 7, 2017. God blessed this world for 81 years with such a kind, wise, selfless man who had a great sense of humour and loved to laugh. He was the very definition of a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who always put his family first and loved us unconditionally.  Devoted and loving husband of 56 years to Maria (nee Lopez).  Cherished father of Giovanna “Joanne” Paglionico, Linda Fazio and Cathy Isabella and husband Gennaro.  Adored nonno of Enzo, Nadia, Lea, Christian, Michael and Anthony.  He will be sadly missed by many family members near and far and by many friends who loved him dearly.  There are no words to express how much we will miss you and you will forever be in our hearts.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 7, 2017 at 86 years of age.  Loving husband of Lynn (nee Ochkos) for 53 years.  Devoted father of Jeff (Sandy) and Wendy Sleiman (David).  Adored papa of Wesley (Nikaya), Michael and Ryan.  Brother of Bob (Marion), Kenny (Cathy), Donnie, the late Pat (Jack), the late Peggy (the late John), the late Betty (the late Pete), the late Art (the late Muriel), the late Ed (Arlene), the late Marilyn (the late Bob) and the late Clifford (Pat).  Bill will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.  He retired from Chrysler Canada Local 444.  Bill had a strong work ethic and was a devoted family man.  A special thank you to the staff at Huron Lodge Magnolia Unit and the doctors and staff at WRH – Met. Campus for their outstanding care and compassion.

Passed away peacefully on October 7, 2017 at 90 years of age. Reunited with his beloved wife Helen (2008).  Cherished father of Robert (Kay Meagher) Hladki, Michael and wife Shelly Hladki, Donna and husband Flavio Severin, James and wife Patty Hladki.  Dear son of the late Daniel and Nellie Hladki.  Dearest son-in-law of the late Frank and Bernardine Malone. Treasured Grandpa of Alex, Adam, Jordyn, Taylor, Thomas and William. Bob will be missed by Alyson, a long time family friend who became a caregiver and more, especially during the past few months. Predeceased by siblings Roger (Hazel) Hladki, and Stan (Helen) Hladki.  Loving brother-in-law of Walter (Rita) Malone, the late Jerry (Carol Ann) Malone, Bernardine (the late Jim) Hartford and predeceased by Jack (Eileen) Malone, Tom (Marie) Malone, Kathleen (Ron) Bondy, Jim Malone. Bob will be sadly missed by his extended family, dear friends, and especially his newest friends at Seasons Royal Oak Village in LaSalle. Passed away peacefully at home after a 37 year battle with anorexia nervosa.  Beloved mother of Mikayla Jo and Noah Timothy.  Cherished daughter of Joseph and Shirley (nee Lemmon).  Treasured sister of Michael and Dana (Greg).  Spouse of Tim.
