Peacefully, on March 25, 2017 at the age of 90, with his loving family by his side. Reunited with his beloved wife Pat (2017).  Dear father of Bonnie (Fred Teno), Russell, Deborah Donaldson (Ron), Catherine, Bill (Linda Bianchi), Barbara (the late Darren Glass, 2013).  Cherished grandfather of Jeffrey, Jason, Melanie, Ryan, Erin, Holly, Andy and Graham.  Great-grandfather of 4; Ella, Hunter, Chase and Sawyer.  Dear brother of John and Arlene Britton.  Brother in-law of the late Warren Tobin (1981) and Jerome Tobin (2009).   Survived by many nieces and nephews.  Former trustee of Riverside Separate School and F.J. Brennan High School Boards. Former member and instructor of the Lumen Institute (The Christopher Leadership Course), former member of Ste. Rose Parish Council, member and former Director of Beach Grove G. & C.C. Member of the Executive Committee of Assumption University Alumni Association, President of the Probus Club of Windsor-Essex Ontario, Alumnus of Assumption College (B.A. 1946) and University of Detroit Mercy (B. M.E. 1949). Recipient of Rev. E.C. LeBel C.S.B. Award  from Assumption University on May 13, 2011. Employed by The Detroit Edison Co. (now DTE Energy) May 1947 – Jan. 1989. HOMORODEAN: Nick of Strathroy, Ontario

Nick (Nicolae) Homorodean has left his earthly home to join his Father in Heaven on Saturday, March 25th in the year of our Lord, 2017 at the age of 89, of Strathroy, Ontario.  Nick was born at Ford City, Windsor, Ontario and came to Strathroy at the age of 7.  He had a sister Mary and a brother Cornell.  Nick’s father had a shoe repair shop and at the age of 19 his father needed Nick to come and work.  Nick retired at 75.  He served the community for 56 years.  He attended the First Baptist Church, Strathroy, taught a class of boys, was Sunday School Superintendent, was a member of the Men’s Fellowship Breakfast Group and also a deacon for many years.  Nick married Lillie McDonald on September 20th, 1950 and they had a family of 5.  Peter, Holly, Sandra, Andy and Donna.

We lived at 80 Thomas Street, Strathroy for 66 years.  Nick attended Strathroy District School until grade 11.  Nick played hockey with the first Rocket Hockey Team in Strathroy.

Lovingly remembered by his wife Lillie (McDonald), his children Peter, Holly (Bryan) Barclay, Sandra (Jeff) McKinnon, Andy, Donna Wilton (Glyn Knapman), his grandchildren Natacha, Tanya, Jevon, Taylor and Jayme and his great grandchildren Amber and Jevon Jr.  Survived by his brother Cornell (Isabel) and brother in law John A. McDonald (Karen).  Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his sister Mary McElwain (Rev. Bill).

Visitation will take place at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on Wednesday, March 29th, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm where a funeral service will take on Thursday at 11 am.  Interment to follow at Strathroy cemetery.

Passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu Grace Health Care – Emara Complex on March 25, 2017 at 92 years of age.  Beloved husband of 65 years to Betty E. Ives (nee Harris).  Loving father of Douglas and wife Cindy Ives, Kathryn and husband Gregory Rutherford of Tennessee, and Joanne and husband Dan Cerovec of Michigan.  Son of the late Walter (1963) and Gertie (1981).  Cherished grandfather of Tania Rutherford (Tennessee), David & wife Jacquie Ives, Mark Ives & Paulina Wojcik, Danielle Cerovec, and Adrian Cerovec (all of Windsor).  Also survived by his aunt Frances Emerson who is 103 years of age and many cousins.  Predeceased by his cousin Linda Tell (2014).  Formerly employed by Ontario Hydro, now Hydro One.  Member of the Eastern Star Imperial Chapter # 21, Masonic Lodge # 290 Leamington, Historic Vehicle Society, SWO Heritage Village (Canadian Transportation Museum and Heritage Village), Corvair Club, Nash Club, Algonquin Club, and the Border City Amateur Radio Club.  He was also a dedicated volunteer of John R. Park Homestead and the Windsor Goodfellows.  Albert’s hobby was woodworking, owning and driving his antique cars, gardening and being a friend to everyone while bowling and golfing.  Special thanks to the staff of C.C.A.C., especially Stephanie, Brad, John and Katie, and the doctors and staff of the Hospice of Windsor (Emara Complex). Passed away with his loving wife by his side on March 22, 2017 at 58 years of age.  Devoted husband and best friend of Lou-Anne (nee Dennis) for 33 years. Dedicated father of Chantelle, Carolyn and Christopher (Alyssa).  Cherished son of Barbara Joan and the late Edmond Mayville. BINGEMAN MOULE, Ruth (nee Shipp), of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully at her residence, the Valleyview Home on Friday, March 24, 2017, in her 93rd year.  Beloved wife of the late John S. “Jack” Bingeman (1967) and the late Howard Moule (2002).  Dearly loved mother of Janice Bingeman Brown (Dr. Alan G. Brown) of Southport, NC.  Cherished grandmother of Christopher Brown (Ruth Steele) of Concord, CA, Colin Brown of Wilmington, NC, and Heather Hill (Michael) of Sterling, VA.  She was proud of her great grandchildren, Connar, Jenna and Nathan Brown of Concord, CA.  Dear sister of the late Jean Cookson.  Special aunt of Kelly Cookson (Barb) of Port Stanley, and Harry Cookson (Marg) of St. Thomas, as well as several other nieces and nephews.  Also fondly remembered by Kathy Weldon, her sons, Tyler, Kevin, and Jeremy Moule, and their families, and by dear friend, Millie Wolfe.  Born in St. Thomas, July 7, 1924, she was the daughter of the late H.A. “Harry” and Rosetta (nee West) Shipp.  Ruth formerly worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Daniel R. Nolan.  She was a member of New Vision Community Church, United Church of Canada.  While Ruth was a member of Grace United Church, St. Thomas, she taught Sunday school for many years and was a member of the Rainbow Unit.  She was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, being a member of Golden Acres Chapter #305, Shedden, and a former member of Central Star Chapter #57, St. Thomas. Cherished grandmother of 32 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Survived by her siblings Leonard (Toni), Peter (Tera), John, Betsy (John), Maria, Hubert (Helen) and Bernadette. Nelly will be remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends.

It is with heavy hearts the family announce the passing of Andrew Brewer with his family by his side on March 20, 2017 at the age of 26. Beloved son of Mary Brewer. Loving brother of Adrian Brewer. He will be sadly missed by his Nana Chris LeBlanc, Little Papa the late Ivan LeBlanc, and his Big Papa William “Mike” Brewer. Nephew of Bill (Sharon) Brewer, Elizabeth “Liz” (Brian) Mulder, the late Leon LeBlanc, Dereck LeBlanc, Diana LeBlanc, Todd Shearon, and Brigham Shearon. Also loved by Grandma Sue Spiegelberg. Andrew will be incredibly missed by his cousins Anthony (Lea) Mulder, Sarah Mulder, Samantha Brewer, A-aron Mulder, Michael Brewer, TJ Glen, Alannah LeBlanc, Alex Boland, Meghan LeBlanc, Mattieu LeBlanc, and Brianna Hilge. Andrew will be dearly missed by many extended family and friends. The family would like to thank all of the angels of Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan Campus for everything they did: The first responders, doctors and nurses in the ER, and the ICU team. Your tireless efforts and compassionate care will never be forgotten.

At University Campus of London Health Sciences Centre, on Sunday, March 19, 2017, after a valiant fight, surrounded by her family, Brenda Tidball of Glencoe passed away in her 68th year. Beloved wife of Wayne Tidball for 45 years. Dear mother of Becky (Rob) Cole and Jeffrey Tidball (Kathy Leitch). Proud mama of Tristan, Kailyn, Kylie and Chloe. Sister of Betty Sitzes (Barry), Carol Wilkins (John), Ron Bramley, (Kathy), Tom Bramley (Heather), Ed Bramley (Pam), Paul Bramley (Linda) and Susan Jackson and sister-in-law of Ken Tidball (JoAnne), late Barb Langs and Shirley Prior (Ron). PERRY, John Alfred – Peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at St. Joseph’s Hospice on March 20, 2017, JOHN ALFRED PERRY, age 86,  of Point Edward. He was predeceased by his loving wife Mae (2005), their son Johnny (1991), and his sister Dorothy Myers (2017). He was the beloved father of Tom and Bob and was also survived by his sister Margaret Winward and numerous nieces and nephews. He is the cherished grandfather of Jeff, Jaime, Andrea, Dayna and Johnny and great grandfather of Maisie. Cremation has taken place and at John’s request, there will be no funeral service or visitation. Mary passed away peacefully on March 16, 2017 at her home in Iona surrounded by family. She is survived by her husband Willard of 62 years. Children Charles (Suzanne) of Iona Station, Elizabeth (Alan) of Welland and Patricia (Nigel) of Thornhill. Also 7 Grand children and 2 Great Grand children and her brother Charlie (Edith) Shelton of Folden’s Corners. Predeceased by her parents Fred and Beth Shelton and her brother Roger (Joan) of Pasadena. Cremation has taken place. Peacefully, on Sunday, March 19, 2017, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, Patricia Fischer passed away at the age of 76.  She will be remembered by her spouse, Eugene Bright and his children; Paula McMillan and Melony Bright.  Cherished by 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  Patricia will be remembered for her gentle and loving personality and will be sorely missed.  Relatives and friends will be received at DENNING’S OF WEST LORNE, 202 Main Street, West Lorne (519-785-0810) on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 1 p.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 2 p.m.  Cremation to follow.  The family wishes to acknowledge the medical team at St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital for the care they have shown to Patricia.  Memorial donations may be made, payable by cheque, to the MS Society of Canada.

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and friends, on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Four Counties Health Services, Ratna Sethi, passed away at the age of 83.  Predeceased by her beloved husband Paul (1991).  She will be forever cherished and remembered by her daughter, Sony of Glencoe, and son, Ranjeev and his wife Mayuri of Burlington.  She will be missed by members of her extended family near and far.  Ratna was a strong, loving and caring lady and a role model to all who knew her.  In keeping with her wishes, her body has been donated to science.  A Memorial Service will be held at DENNING’S OF RODNEY, 212 Furnival Road, Rodney (519-785-0810) on Saturday, March 25, 2017 commencing at 11 a.m.  A time of reception will follow.  The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Four Counties Health Services for providing a warm and comforting environment and for their kindness and care shown to Ratna during her time at the hospital.  Donations in memory of Ratna may be made, payable by cheque, to Heart and Stroke Foundation, or The Caring Cupboard, Rodney.
