It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Stefano on Sunday September 28, 2014 at the age of 94. Loving husband of 69 years to Angela (Gulotta). Dearest father of Paula (Elio) D’Angela, Grace (Maurice) Doiron, Sebastian (Pam) Lombardo and Josie D’Andrea (Michael Ciapanna). Adored Nonno of Angie (Trevor), Stephanie (Edward), Melissa, Andrew, Kevin and Daniel. Great-Nonno of Leila, Payton and Olivia. Survived by sister-in-laws Gaetana Caradonna and Antonina Artale, as well as many nieces and nephews from Canada and Italy. Stefano was a veteran of WWII and immigrated to Canada in 1953 aboard the S.S. Conte Biancamano with his wife and eldest daughter. Stefano was a proud member of Local 444 (Chrysler Canada) and Giovanni Caboto Club. He enjoyed entertaining others with numerous stories of past experiences, good food and family gatherings. He will be forever remembered for his dedication to, and love for his family and friends. If you so desire, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
