lipskieOrville Lipskie, of Hanover, formerly of Elmwood, passed away at Hanover and DistrictHospital, on Thursday, August 01, 2013.  He was 88.

Born to Chris and Hannah (nee Scheifele) Lipskie in HollandTownship. Orville was a member of the Hanover Royal Canadian Legion Branch #130 and was proud to be a veteran of WWII. He was employed with Klemmer’s Saw Mill prior to retirement.

Survived by brother Mel (Marlene) Lipskie of R#1 Hanover, special great nieces Danielle and Breanna Lipskie as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, sisters Violet (Wilfred) Mercey, Vera (Harold) Wenzel, Vina (Mel) Hoffele, Irene (Stan) Spielmacher, Pearl Lipskie and two brothers Elwood (Mabel) Lipskie and Lorne (Verda) Lipskie.

Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm   where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 03, 2013 at 11:00 am.  Rev. John Polacok officiating.  Interment in Hanover Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation or to St. Matthew’s Ev. LutheranChurch would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.  Register book available at
