lindsay-webWarren Lindsay, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, in his 80th year.

Born in Halifax County, Nova Scotia on August 5, 1934 to the late James Stanley and Edith (nee Jennings) Lindsay. Warren was a Detective for the Police in Metro Toronto until retiring. As a former member and past president of the Royal Canadian Legion Hanover Branch # 130, Masonic Lodge # 587 Thornhill and past member of the Rameses Temple Shriners of North York, Warren was always seen with a smile on his face and willing to lend a helping hand to whomever asked.

Survived by wife Marilynn (nee Snider) of Hanover, son Todd (Elizabeth) Lindsay of Guelph, daughter Lauri (John) Backus of Mississauga, grandchildren that will always remember his sense of humor often telling jokes, Samantha and Ryan Lindsay. Remembered by his brother-in-law Allan Willfang of Hanover, Predeceased by his brothers and sisters  John, James, Edna, Jessie Willfang, Edith Martin, J. Stanley (Jr.) and Kenneth Lindsay.

At Warren’s request, a Private Family Service was held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.  Rev. Alice Wilson officiated.  Cremation with inurnment in Hanover Cemetery.
