David (Dave) Lindsay

Peacefully at home on June 16 at the age of 74. Predeceased by his parents Robert Lindsay and Lucy Hickes. Devoted husband to Joan (Chevrier).  Loving father of Scott (Elizabeth), Karen and Cory.  Cherished Grampa to Bradley, Kali, Madison and Dylan.  Born and raised in Ottawa, Dave was recruited by the National Research Council in the 1950’s and spent his 46-year career with the organization.  In his retirement, Dave enjoyed traveling with his beloved Joan.  His grandchildren brought him incredible joy, and they will miss his magic tricks and good-natured teasing.  Dave will be remembered for his humour, intelligence and caring spirit.  Many thanks to Dr. George Michael, Dr. Louise Coulombe and the staff at Bayshore Home Care for their wonderful care during the last week.  Condolences will be received at Divine Infant Church, 6658 Bilberry Drive, Orleans on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 12:15 p.m., followed by a memorial mass to celebrate Dave’s life at 1:00 p.m.  A private burial will be held at St-Mary’s Cemetery on Thursday, June 21 in Quyon, Quebec.
