After a wonderful evening of saying goodbye to all his family and thanking them all for everything, our father, Opa and soon-to-be great-Opa, Hendrik Lindhout, peacefully passed away to be with his Father in Heaven at the age of 86 on Friday, January 17, 2014.   Henk is survived by his loving wife Lena, he was the light of her life, his children Diane (Robert), Helen (David), Flory (Rob) and Pieter (Elizabeth).  Cherished Opa of Thomas (Renee), Stephen, Marlene (Mike), Laura, Anna (Jason), Caleb, Kelly (Tac), Katie, Christine, Hendrik and Zackary.  He is survived by his 7 loving brothers and sisters and their spouses who all reside in the Netherlands.   Predeceased by granddaughter Karen, one sister and two brothers-in-law.  He will be missed by many nieces and nephews and all of those who knew and loved him.  Henk was a dedicated produce manager of Dominion/ A&P until he was 65.   After retirement, Henk returned to his first career as a Dutch baker and had the honour of providing Dutch baked goodies to many in the Sarnia community.  A private family graveside service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery. A celebration of Henk’s life will be held for family and close friends on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Redeemer Christian Reformed Church, 5834 Blackwell Sd. Rd. Sarnia, ON.
