LENNOX, John Francis – Born August 15, 1940. Passed away early on the morning of August 12, 2014 at Ajax Pickering Hospital. Son of the late Dorothy and Henry Lennox. Dear father of Derrick and his wife Sandra of Peterborough, and Michelle Stock-Lennox and her husband Kevin of Whitby. Beloved grandfather of Michael “Dude”, Rebecca “Sweetheart”, Tiffany and Eric. Brother of James and Henry. He will be missed but not forgotten by his family.

A man whose family always came first, John worked for the city of Scarborough as a draftsman in the City Planning department. He enjoyed pitching fastball, coaching hockey and playing golf. He also loved fishing, camping, snowmobiling and being outside. John liked to tease and enjoyed a lively discussion.

John was always there when we needed him, and gave of himself and his time freely. He was at all his grandkid’s milestones and sports events and would often say “If you need anything, call me.”

Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held in the fall. If desired, condolences to the family, or donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, may be made at www.CommunityAlternative.ca or by calling COMMUNITY ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL HOME, at 705-742-1875.
