LehmanwebGeorge Lehman, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital, on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 on his 80th birthday.

Born in Walkerton, son of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Schmidt) Lehman. George was employed with Weston Bakeries until retiring.  George was a Korean War Veteran and a devoted member of the Knights of Columbus earning him the title of  Fourth Degree Knight.

Survived by sons Andrew (Linda) Lehman of Hanover, Paul (Chyrille) Lehman of RR#1Walkerton, Robert (Devin) Lehman of Toronto, grandchildren Matthew, Gabrielle, Benjamin, Cheylene, Chantel and Jorgen. George will be fondly remembered by his brothers William Lehman of Walkerton, Harry (Elaine) Lehman, Allan Lehman both of Kitchener, sisters Rose Kaufman of Mildmay, Chris Currie, Madeline Breutigam both of Hanover, Gertie Valad of Ferndale and Ruth Grein-Boxberger of Ayton. Predeceased by his wife Zita (nee Kroetsch) Lehman and his sisters Betty Sullivan and Eleanor Briar.

Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Thursday from  2-4 and 7-9 pm with Vigil Rites at  8:30 pm.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 01, 2013 at 10:30 am, at Holy Family Church, Hanover.  Father Mervin Perera officiating.  Interment in Holy Family Cemetery, Hanover.
