imagejpeg_2 (163x250)LaRovere, Guerino “Gino” of St. Thomas, passed away on Wednesday , January 9th, 2013, in the presence of his family, surrounded by love at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 78th year. Beloved husband of late Carmela Anna Maria (Rapposelli) LaRovere (2007) and dearly loved father of Tina and her husband Ian Couse of St. Thomas, Giulian and his wife Melanie Bywater of London and Michelle and her husband Shane Dawtrey of London. Much loved grandfather of Kristi Couse and her fiancé Grant Whiteman, Jacey and Maren LaRovere, Mya and Brianne Dawtrey. Dear brother of Igea Tomei of Italy. Predeceased by a brother Luigi and sisters Esterina Reati and infant Emma. Sadly missed by a number of brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. Dear friend of Gerri Roberts. Gino was born in Italy on January 1st, 1936, the son of the late Cesare and Laura (Ambrosini) LaRovere. He owned and operated LaRovere Construction. He was a member of St. Anne’s Church. He was an active member of the St Thomas Seniors Club and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a generous and kind family man who always put his family first. Those who have had the great fortune of knowing Gino, will be forever touched by his warm-hearted spirit.

The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Church, 20 Morrison Dr., St. Thomas. Interment to follow in Holy Angels’ Cemetery. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Friday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Caring Cupboard.
