LANDRY, NormanIt is with heavy hearts that the family announces his passing in Sudbury on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at the age of 56 years.  Predeceased by his father Ovide Landry. Loving son of Noëlla Santerre (Arcand) and André Santerre.  He will be tremendously missed by his wife and best friend of 35 years Louise Landry (Gaudet) and his cherished son, Brandon.  Grandson to George Landry and Claudia Desjardins and Laurenza and Emile Arcand, all predeceased.  Norm will always be in the hearts and prayers of his sisters Francine Laurin (Daniel), Carole Santerre-Jones (Brian), his brother Robert Landry, dear mon-oncle to Eric, Patrick, Mélanie and Zoe.  Norm was a diesel mechanic for Eimco Jarvis Clark for 15 years between 1976 and 1991 where he befriended many and formed bonding friendships.  More recently, Norm worked as a mechanic for McDowell Equipment for various periods of time.   In his early days, Norm enjoyed his time on the ice playing hockey in the winter with his friends and baseball in the summer months.  His passion in these last few years was being on the golf course with Louise whenever he could and remembered with great fondness their trip to PEI.  Sincere thanks are extended to the many doctors and nurses of Health Sciences North that cared for Norm during his short stay in the hospital and their compassion in his final days. Norm’s journey has taken him to a place of peace, joining his best friend Paul who he missed dearly.  The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Saturday, September 28th, 2013 from 2-4:30 p.m.  A memorial service will follow in the funeral home Chapel at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
