Lampman, G. Helene of St. Thomas, passed away suddenly, on Monday, August 27th, 2012, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of the late Jack R. “Bud” Mills (1993) and the late Wesley Lawrence Lampman (2005). Loving friend and companion of Dave Major. Dearly loved mother of Richard (Brenda) Mills of London, Marilyn (Brian) Williams of St. Thomas, Sharon (Harvey) Harrietha of Chatham, and Michael (Jennifer) Mills of St. Thomas. Much loved grandmother of Andrew (Kasey) Williams, Kristen (Tyler) Lessard , Tara, Bradley and Daniel Harrietha and Madelaine, Michelle and Connor Mills and great -grandmother of Tazia, Daxton and Payton Lessard. Sister of Grace (Jack) Vowel of Dutton. Helene was born in Shedden on June 2nd, 1930, the daughter of the late Ray Lyons and Mabel Winter Lyons Stark. She worked for over 27 years at Thermodisc and 8 years at Victor Gasket.

A public Memorial service to celebrate Helene’s life will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas. Private interment of ashes in Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Remembrances may be made to the Kidney Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice.
