Died peacefully on Sunday May 31, 2015 at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood at the age of 82. Wilhelmina of Stayner, formerly of New Lowell, beloved wife of the late John Lamers (2002). Loving mother of Herman (the late Kathy (2002)), Betty (Don Carter), Wilma (Chris Sentner), John (Donna), Linda (the late Chris Christiaans (2013)), Rosanne (David Grant), Robert (Laurie) and Randy (Deb). Cherished grandmother of 19 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren. Sadly missed by brothers Henry, John, Cory, and Martin and sisters Kea, Dorothy and Toosje and their families. Wilhelmina is predeceased by her parents Martin and Egberta Verstraten and brothers Tony and Albert. She will also be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, on Tuesday June 2, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayer Service at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 215 Pine Street, Stayner on Wednesday June 3, 2015 at 11 o’clock. Reception to follow St. Patrick’s Parish hall. Interment Our Lady of Assumption Churchyard, Brentwood at approximately 2 o’clock. If desired, remembrances to Campbell House Hospice or the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by Wilhelmina’s family.
