web_Laforet_Roland76 years, peacefully, on April 6, 2014 with his loving family at his side.   Late of Tecumseh.  Beloved husband of 52 years to Rose Marie (nee Kennette).  Loving father of  Rev. Antoine ‘Tony’, Charles and wife Lyn and the late Gerard (1979), Dr. Pierre Laforet (2001) and Martin (2006).  Dear father-in-law of  Denise and loving  papa of Pierre and Martin. Dear son of the late Raymond and Laura (nee Cecile).  Dear brother of Robert and wife Betty, Laurence and Mary, Paul and Carol, Margaret and Leo Rocheleau. Dear brother-in-law of Paul and Nicole, Raymond, Ernest and Linda, Normand and Rosemary, Lawrence and Linda, Leonard and Betty, Theresa and Richard Barrette, Alma and Ernest Colussi, Jean and Deacon Francois Coté, Annette and Edward Colussi, Darlene and Barry Thompson.  Will be remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Roland was a retired principal from the Essex County Separate School Board after 36 years, had served  the local and provincial O.E.C.T.A., Public School Trustee, had served on Tecumseh Town Council becoming deputy mayor, a Charter member of Fr. Nicholas Point Council 4375,  member of the Nicholas Point Club, was a long-time usher and  an active member of St. Anne Church.  Roland enjoyed reading, horse racing, avid golfer, umpiring, basketball coach and referee and was a Tiger and Leafs fan. In kindness, a donation to the St. Anne Church Restoration Fund or to the 2nd Chance Ministry would be appreciated.  Visiting Tuesday 7-9 with K .of C. prayers at 8 pm. Wednesday 2-5, 7-9 with prayers at 8pm. Funeral Thursday at 10:15 am from Families First 1065 Lauzon Rd.
