It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother EVA KRUPL (nee Zink), 91 years. Born in Croatia, she settled in Petrolia in 1953, where she lived the rest of her life until she passed away at Lambton Meadowview Villa, Petrolia, on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. Loving mother of Rosemary Krupl of Alvinston, Theresa Krupl of Toronto, and Anne Krupl of Hamilton. Eva will be missed by her sister Anna (Tony) Kmetic of Petrolia. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Rudy of Toronto, Paul of Petrolia, and Ann and Oscar of Germany. She was predeceased by her parents, Rozina and Martin Zink, her brothers Tony, Martin, and Stefan, and her sister Theresa. Eva was a member of St. Philip’s Church, where she was a member of the choir and the CWL, Coffee Plus, and the City of The Light Prayer Group. Eva was a very social person who enjoyed spending time with people. She was an avid gardener and was a lover of animals. Visitors will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the NEEDHAM-JAY FUNERAL HOME, Petrolia. Parish prayers will be offered at 3:45 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Philip’s Church, King Street, Petrolia, on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. Tony Del Ciancio as celebrant. Interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wyoming. Special thanks to the staff of Lambton Meadowview Villa, who went beyond the call of duty, Dr. Mather for her compassionate care, and to the St. Philip’s Pastoral care, particularly Ginette Cormier for their compassion.
