Knecht - editedOn Sunday, February 2, 2014, in her 83rd year, Myra died peacefully at her home in Sarnia, Ontario.  Beloved daughter of the late Boniface and Marjorie Harman.  Devoted and supportive mother to her six children:  Frances Kennedy of Port Stanley, Patricia Buckley, Chris (Jocelyn ) Buckley, all of London;  Sheila (Peter) Vaisler of Rosseau; Barbara (Brian) Lyttle of London and Peter (Colleen) Buckley of Sarnia.  She was the proud grandmother of fifteen: Matthew (Kristen) Buckley, Christopher (Brooke) Kennedy, Peter (Kelly) Kennedy, Joseph Buckley, Sarah Vaisler, Michael Kennedy, Trevor Vaisler and the Jefferys: Hailey, Melanie, Emily, Tyler, Jesse, her angel Travis; Peter Boniface ll and Adelaide Buckley; and great grandmother of Jillian and Emily and Stella Kennedy.  Predeceased by two husbands, R. Joseph Buckley, of 35 years, and John Knecht, of 13 years.  Loving sister to Jack (Joanne) Harman and Helen (Ed) Canning.  Fondly remembered by her brothers and sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.  Myra was a mother to anyone who needed one. Her kitchen served up tea, food, advice and laughter. Myra and Joe loved to host family gatherings in Lucknow, Poplar Hill, and London.  She spent the last decade of her life in the Sarnia area close to her son Peter and family; first in Petrolia with her second husband, John E. Knecht, Sr., and, most recently, at Landmark Village in Sarnia where she was well loved by staff and enjoyed the company of her many friends and neighbours.  Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Friday, February 7th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Myra are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
