Knapp-webJean Knapp (nee Schultz), of Hanover, passed away at Hanover Care Centre on Wednesday, January 07, 2015.   She was 96.

Jean was born January 31, 1918 in Sullivan Township to parents  Louis and Augusta (nee Batterman) Schultz.  She was a member of the LWL and was a Registered Nurse’s Assistant during her working career.

Survived by loving daughter Nancy Jean and husband Leslie Hunter of Durham, cherished grandson Michael and his wife Kimberly Hunter and will be missed by her greatgranddaughters Megan and Hannah Hunter.  Also survived by her sisters-in-law Ruby Knapp and Elda-Mae Knapp both of Chesley, many cousins and friends.  Predeceased by her husband Victor Knapp, parents Louis and Augusta (nee Batterman) Schultz.

Visitation was held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 2:00 pm, at First St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Hanover. Rev. Robert Clifford officiated. Spring Interment in Chesley Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Lutheran Hour were appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
