We are saddened to announce the passing of our precious husband, father, opa and friend Tys Klaver, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital on Saturday, October 25, 2014, in his 86th year.
Born on January 10, 1929 in Leeuwarden, Holland to the late Tjeerd and Yttje (nee van der Woude) Klaver. Tys was owner and operator of T. Klaver Acres and Auto Body in Normanby Township with son Ted.
Leaving behind a grieving wife and best friend of 63 years Helen (nee Bouwman) Klaver of Hanover, children Ted (Marni) Klaver of Red Deer, Alberta, Ali Klaver (friend Ed) of Guelph, Kelly (Steve) Wright of Owen Sound, son in law Tom Law of Hanover, grandchildren Kate, Leah, David, Willie, Rachel, Matthew, Caitlin, Michael, Michelle, Melissa, Kayla and Nicole and greatgrandchildren Mataya, Emery, Mattheus, Oliver, Brenden, Tyson, Carter, Landen and Myla. Also remembered by his sister Djoeke Bremer of Holland, sister-in-law Barb Klaver of Kitchener and several nieces and nephews in Ontario and Holland. Predeceased by his daughters Baukje MacInnis(1992), Ida Law (2013), brothers Bill, Ron, Allan and John Klaver and sisters Hiske and Jane.
Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 11:00 am, at Hanover Missionary Church (628 11th Street, Hanover). Pastor David Illman and Pastor Connie Giroux officiating. Interment in Memory Gardens, Breslau.
