Peacefully, Grace passed away on March 1, 2013, at Maxville Manor, Maxville Ont., in her 103rd year. Predeceased by her husband John Harris, (1954), her parents, five brothers and three sisters. Loving mother of David (Frank), Paul (Gail), and Susan Stelmach (Joe), grandmother of Colleen Racey (Larry), Dawn Harmer (Bil), Carey Burns (Brian), Todd Stelmach (Chelsea), Troy Stelmach (Sherry), stepgrandmother of Brandy Ryan (Cory), Bill Wigley (Nadia), great grandmother of Sara Lockhart (Colin Uppal), Meghan Katolinski (Rob), Ryan Racey, Ronan Harmer, Noah Stelmach, Makeena Stelmach, Keziah Stelmach, Maeve Stelmach, step great grandmother of Abbie and Ben Ryan, great great grandmother of Aaliyah and Aryana Uppal.

Grace was born and raised in Burlington Ont., trained as a registered nurse in Hamilton and London Ont., she relocated to Niagara with her family in the late 1940’s and resumed her nursing career when her husband passed away. Grace worked as a public health nurse in the Niagara Region for many years. She also worked for the CAW medical centre on Pelham Rd. in St. Catharines until she retired. Grace was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She also was an active member at the Coronation Centre of Niagara Falls. For the last five years she has resided at Maxville Manor, Maxville, Ont., close to her daughter.

The family will receive friends at the Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, on Friday March 8th from 1:00- 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday March 9th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Morse & Son Chapel. Interment will follow at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Maxville Manor, 80 Mechanic W., Maxville, Ont., K0C 1T0
