John KinchenDied at home, peacefully surrounded by loving family after a very lengthy battle with cancer.  Survived by wife Kathy, sisters Kathy Kinchen (Gary Whittle), Terri Rousseau, and sister-in-law Becky Wellington-Horner. Survived by a most devoted loving niece, Mackenzie Horner (Nathan King).  A special uncle to Carrie Ekhom (Chris), Jennifer King (Mark), Megan Whittle, Jesse Whittle (Allison), Shawn Rousseau and Justin Rousseau. Great uncle to Jacob and Justin Ekhom and Erin and Jamie King.  Predeceased by mother and father Robert and Kathleen Kinchen and sister Joanne.  He will be sadly missed by many friends and family and his special friends Wilfred, Rooney, Savannah and Tallulah.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Wm. O’Mahony, London doctors Dr. Scilly, Dr. A Nichols and Dr. Logan and Bayshore nurses Amelda and Kristen.  John loved to travel, especially south, boating and his many interactions with friends and colleagues he met though his work at sales most recently Lambton Ford, but his happiest moments were the times he spent with his family and dogs.  Cremation has taken place.

Family and friends will be received at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church, 1011 Oak Ave., Sarnia, on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Sarnia & District Humane Society (cheques only at the funeral home please).  Memories and condolences may be sent online at
