Mrs. KerrJoan passed peacefully at home with her husband and daughters at her side, after a courageous battle with Cancer.  Survived by her loving husband Larry, children Sheri Dzierwa (Chris) of London and Heather Kerr (Hank Johnson) of St. Thomas, grandchildren Bryan, Matthew, Alexander and Mackenzie.  Also survived by her sister Dianne Oliver (Larry) of Mitchell, niece Denise Oliver, nephew Shaun Oliver, both of London and five godchildren, Jim Elders, Jana Quik, Juli Elders, Jeni Spicer and Jeff Elders.  She will be missed by cousins and friends.  She was an elementary school teacher and homemaker.  Joan volunteered with Girl Guides of Canada in several positions and received provincial recognition.  She also provided volunteer service to CKHA.  She was an active member of Victoria Ave. and First Presbyterian churches.  She enjoyed camping, canoeing, RVing, swimming, gardening, sewing, crafts and car shows.  She took an active interest in supporting her grandchildrens’ sporting activities, teaching them crafts and included them in her camping outings.  Her determination, adventurous spirit, dedication to family and church will be greatly missed.  Family and friends are invited to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington West, Chatham, 519-352-2710, on Wednesday, April 3rd, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.  The funeral service for Joan (JoKer) will be conducted in the chapel in the funeral home on Thursday, April 4th, at 1:30 pm. with Rev. Mike Maroney of First Presbyterian Church officiating.  Interment Union Cemetery, Pardoville.  Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society or First Presbyterian Memorial Fund.  On-line condolences may be left at
