Passed away on January 10th, 2018 after an unexpected event, with family by his side. Beloved husband of the late Florence (2009). Dear father of John (Maureen) of Georgetown, Michael (Jacqueline) of Grimsby, Christopher (Mary) of Windsor. Proud grandfather of Sean, Kate, Rachelle, Colin, John, Ryan and great-grandfather of Lachlan & Annabelle. Survived by sister-in-law Agnes Gauthier and will be missed by several nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by his parents Cornelius & Nellie, and his sister Marion. Jack was born in St. Mary’s Ontario, and was a proud Pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force and Royal Air Force serving in Canada and Overseas from 1942-1945. He was president of the Air Force Club of Windsor (RCL Branch#364). He was the first Chartered Member of the Royal Canadian Air Force Association in Windsor. Jack was an insurance salesman for Sun Life of Canada for 25 years. He then worked for the City of Windsor initially in the Social Services Department and then as the Head Property Negotiator until his retirement in 1990. He enjoyed his retirement and doting on his grandchildren.  The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff at W.R.H., Ouellette Campus, especially the Emergency Department and the nurses and physicians on the 6th floor.  We also wish to thank the staff at Amy’s Helping Hands, especially Lynn, Marjaneh and Genevieve for their care over the past year and the staff at the Alzheimer’s Society Day Away Program.  If you so desire, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the United Way would be appreciated by the family.

Visiting Monday 3-5pm & 7-9pm. Veteran’s Memorial Service under the auspices of the Windsor Veteran’s Memorial Service Committee at 4pm and Parish Prayers at 7:30pm at FAMILIES FIRST, 1065 Lauzon Rd., East Windsor, 519-969-5841.  On Tuesday, family and friends are invited to meet after 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (834 Raymo Rd.) followed by Funeral Mass at 11am. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
