JEWELL,Winston George – Born in 1941 in Quebec City, son of George Jewell and
Madeleine Begin, died on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the Royal Victoria
Regional Health Centre, Barrie, ON, with his family and his life partner, Dr.
Michael Kennedy, by his side. Winston had a successful career in the life
insurance industry as a pension consultant in Montreal, Calgary and Toronto
before taking early retirement. He was an enthusiastic gardener, artist,
interior designer and a chef in his private life. Winston was the loving father
of daughters Heidi (Shant), Cindy (Greg) and son Greg (Michelle). Survived by
his sister Marylin King (Patrick) of Toronto, ON. Left to mourn him are his
three nephews, Patrick, Frank and Brendan King and nine grandchildren along with
many relatives and friends. Predeceased by his former wife Joan Laschinger.
Cremation has taken place but a memorial celebration of his life will be held
on Sunday, May 12th from 1 – 4 p.m. at The Sheba Shrine Club, 142 John Street,
Barrie, ON. Donations, if desired, may be made to the Princess Margaret
Hospital where he received excellent care. “Winston, je t’aime autant que
la vie elle-même “.
