Peacefully at Bluewater Health, Sarnia on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 Jerry Morrow passed away at the age of age 71.  Beloved husband of Carol.  Loving father of Heather-Mae (Dale) and Jay.  Cherished grandfather of Adelaide and Jamie.   Loved brother of John (Cathy) and Marion (Jack). Predeceased by his parents Lila and Stewart.  Will be missed by his extended family on Carol’s side, her children Richard, Randy, Shawn, Stephen, Caroline and Tracy. Grandchildren Jasmine, Bradley and Brayden. Carol’s sisters Anita and Linda. Carol’s brothers Adelard, Ernie and Nelson. Family and friends will be received at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held at St. John-in-the Wilderness Anglican Church 2896 OLD Lakeshore Rd., Bright’s Grove, on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with one hour of visitation prior to the service.  Cremation to follow.  Jerry was born and raised in London, Ontario where he attended Sir Adam Beck Collegiate. Jerry loved to sing in his school Glee Club and play the french horn. Jerry was an avid reader and a gifted wordsmith. He was always up for a great debate. He enjoyed stumping his opponents at Scrabble by playing unusual and infrequently-used words. Jerry’s morning routine always included the New York Times crossword puzzle. Jerry was a passionate freelance journalist, a radio personality, and a news reporter with CKCO T.V. He was a special friend to Bill W. Jerry and Carol were the proud owners of the Buck-A-Loonie (Things Galore)  Sarnia’s 1st real dollar store in the Northgate Plaza, Sarnia. Those who knew Jerry best describe him as an honest friend, who gave unconditional love and caring. He was a kind and gentle man with an off-beat sense of humor. Jerry will be sorely missed.
