It is with great sadness we regret Peter Jenniskens of Wyoming, succumbed to mesothelioma (asbestosis) at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Sarnia, with his family by his side on Monday, October 1, 2012. Born in Ysselstein, The Netherlands, he immigrated to Canada in 1951. Peter leaves behind his beloved and dear wife Isabel, his three children: David (Angie), Shauna (Doak) and Elaina (Mike), and his grandchildren Lauren, Sean, Doak, Lyle, Brody, Isla, Kami and Tye. He also leaves behind his siblings Bill Jenniskens, Henriette (John) Gerrits, Maria (the late Warwick) Jones, Oda (Robert) Hodge, Joe (Anna) Jenniskens, Theresia (Pete) Heynen, and sister-in-law Cissy Jenniskens. Peter was predeceased by his parents Matthew and Elizabeth Jenniskens and brother Tony Jenniskens. Along with farming, Peter was a retired member of Local 663. Cremation has taken place. At Peter’s request, a private family service will take place at Wyoming Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
