JANET LYNNE SIMON, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2012. Janet was born on July 11, 1951, daughter of the late Russell McGirr and Elizabeth “Betty” Wolsey of Sarnia. Long time partner of Robert “Bob” Willshire. Mother of Tammy Simon (Doug George)of Kettle Point, Christopher Simon of Chatham, and Amanda of Sarnia. Proud Grandma to 6 grandchildren; Alicia Lefebvre (Jamie), Lindsey Noble (Carl Askin), Gage, Mathew, Andrew Simon and Kayden Simon. Great Grandma to 5 great grandchildren; Elizabeth “Lizzy” Noble – Laracque, Mya – Lynne and Alice Lefebvre, James and Jenna Askin. She will be sadly missed by 1 nephew and several nieces. Survived by sisters Margaret Britton (Ray Whitworth) and Peggy Paquin of Sarnia. Janet was a member of the Ex-Servicemens Club of Point Edward and former employee of the Corunna Legion and the Brigden Legion and was also a member of Aamjiwnaang First Nation. Cremation has taken place and at Janet’s request there will be no funeral service or visitation. A private “Celebration of Life” will be held at a future date. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Victorian Order of Nurses or the Sarnia Humane Society.
