Jamieson, Margaret webJAMIESON, Margaret (nee Fisher) August 20, 1915-January 22, 2014- With family by her side, Margaret Jamieson, at the age of 98, went peacefully home to be with the Lord after battling a brief illness in hospital.  She was an inspiration to all who knew her and will be sadly missed by many friends and family.

Margaret was the wife of the late James W. Jamieson.  Loving mother of Donald (the late Lee) Jamieson and the late Douglas Jamieson.  Cherished grandmother of the late Donna (Tom) Metcalf and Dianne Secco.  Step grandmother of Terry (Vern) Koabel and Carol (AJ) Heafey.  Treasured and devoted great grandmother of Olivia Secco.  Beloved step great grandmother of Gordon, Carlee, Derek and Rebekkah.  Predeceased by her parents, Elsie and Walter Fisher and her sister, Dorothy (Carl) Woolnough.  A special thank you to all of the nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit at GNGH for their kindness and support.

Margaret retired from the Accounting Dept. at Bissell Canada Ltd in 1980 with 35 years of service and she was a founding member of Main Street Baptist Sunday School where she served as Secretary for 57 years.  She was an avid gardener and prided herself with maintaining her own home for all of these years.  Margaret loved every flower that God made.

Cremation has taken place and a private interment will take place at a later date.  In celebration of Margaret’s life, perform an act of kindness for someone in need.  For those who wish memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
