GeorgeHunter, George Edward – 1928 – 2013 – In God’s care now on April 1, 2013. George passed away after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. For 58 years, beloved husband of Virginia (nee Bohn). Loving father of Greg (Debbie), Karen (and the late Brian), Wayne ( Sandy ), Stephen (Gail), Christine (Gerry). Loving grandfather of Ashley, Brett, Cheyenne , Trevor, Shane, Lara, Devin and Mitchell. Brother of Alex and the late Jack, Mary and Lillian. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. George was a long time employee of Ainsworth Electric and enjoyed his many years in the construction trade. He was an avid card player, bowler, baseball pitcher, golfer and loved pitching horseshoes. He made many friends along the way. He always had a smile and a joke for any occasion. He will be greatly missed by all. Cremation has taken place and there will be a family celebration of George’s life at a later date. Donations in George’s memory may be made to the Parkinson’s Society of Canada or a charity of your choice. A special thanks to Dr. McConvey and all the staff at Woods Park Care Centre, Barrie. the nurses and PSWs for all their care, kindness and concern for George while he resided there.
