Peacefully at her residence, surrounded by Dwayne and Bette, on Tuesday, September 25, 2012, Miss Anna Margaret Hughes in her 93rd year. Beloved daughter of the late George and Edith Hughes. Predeceased by her sisters M. Kathleen Hughes of London (1992), Marion E. Hughes of Woodstock (1996) and by her brother Thomas McKellar Hughes of Union (1996). Sadly missed by Dwayne and Bette Pitts and her many friends and family. Dearly loved by her poodle “Sandy”. Margaret was a very happy, polite and kind person. She enjoyed attending church at Oakridge Presbyterian Church, London and Knox Presbyterian Church, Tiverton. Margaret had a passion for music and loved to attend concerts. She was a longtime teacher at Westminister High School from the Fall of 1963 to the Spring of 1982. Friends will be received from 12-2pm on Monday, October 1, 2012 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel at 2pm, with Reverend Jeanette Fleischer of Knox Presbyterian Church, Tiverton, and Reverend Ed Hoekstra, of Oakridge Presbyterian Church, London, officiating. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, London.
