HOWEY: Roderick “Rod” George of Dutton

Howey (183x250)Howey, Roderick  “Rod” George of Dutton, passed away on Wednesday, February 12th, 2014, at the L.H.S.C. (Victoria Campus), peacefully, in his 63rd year. Dearly loved husband of Gaétane Arbour and dearly loved father of Vanessa DeDecker (Blaine) and Rod Howey. Much loved grandfather of Tyler and Brittani DeDecker and Ashley and Amber Howey. Dear brother of Marilyn Lynch (Charles) and the late Donald “Butch” Howey (2006) and brother-in-law of Carolyn Howey,  Johanne  Arbour, Gérald Arbour and the late Gilles Arbour.  Rod was born in St. Thomas on September 10th, 1951, the son of the late Donald  Raymond Howey (1999) and the late Dorothy (MacDonald) Howey.  Dear son-in-law of the late Armand and Irène Arbour. Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews. He worked at Ford Motor Company, Talbotville. Rod was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Sunday at 8:00 p.m. Visitation Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Dialysis Unit at Victoria Hospital, London.
