Mrs. Ruth Houston, a resident of Chatham, formerly of Wallaceburg, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Public General Campus, in Chatham, at the age of 74 years.Ruth was born in Michigan, U.S.A. and was a daughter of the late Claude Gordon and Margaret (Myers) Micks.Beloved wife of Lawrence Houston.Loving mother of Linda (Gary) and Mary (Richard “Bear”).Sadly missed by her grandchildren Matthew, Kristy, Darby, step-grandchildren Garrett, Katie and great grandchild Emerson.Kind sister of Helen, Joanne, Judy, Diane and Barbara.Also survived by her best friends Diane and Bernadette as well as many other friends, family, nieces and nephews.Predeceased by her siblings Dolly, John, Frank, Wilfred, Harry, Russell, Dorothy, Olive and Myrtle.Cremation will take place.Friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, Ontario on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 10-11 a.m. with the Funeral Service immediately following at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of the Funeral Home, with Fr.
