The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Sarturday, December 27th, 2014 at the age of 91 years. Beloved husband of Georgette (née Laframboise) Houle. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Gabrielle (née Frappier) Houle. Loving father of Marcel (Yolande Giroux), Suzanne Charbonneau (Ronald), Gloria Keegan (late Peter), Diane (Chris Anderson), Colette Prieur (late Gilbert), Denis, Françoise Beaulne, Carole Giroux (Jean-Pierre), Pierrette Abate, Pierre (Brenda Chénier) and Lise St-Denis (Bruno) all of Greater Sudbury. Predeceased by his beloved son, Robert. Cherished grandfather of 41 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and predeceased by one granddaughter. Dear brother of Rita Arsenault (late Alcide), Alberte Robert (late Gordon) and Fernand (Darlene), late Aurélien (Thérèse). Predeceased by his siblings and their spouses Lina Moncion (Laurier), Émile (Annie), Laurette Tremblay (Leo), Carmel (Yvonne), Delia Coutu (Marcel), Thérèse Frappier (Denis) and Léo. He will be missed by his sister-in-law Cécile Frappier and many nieces and nephews. Edgar was a loyal employee at INCO for 42 years. He made over 1000 rosaries in the name of the Virgin Mary for whom he was a proud ambassador. He also volunteered as a bingo caller for St-Jean de Brébeuf parish where he was also minister of the Eucharist for many years. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Friday, January 2nd , 2015 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 3rd, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Paroisse St-Jean-de-Brebeuf Church, Sudbury. Masses or donations (by cheque only) to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
